We filled up two big vans and headed out for the weekend expecting a weekend of peace out of the city. We had our weekend of peace.
We saw the stars at night. We found quiet places to be (without the 7 train rumbling by). We had beautiful weather. We enjoyed time on the lake in boats. We spent time in the heated pool, played beach volleyball, and grew in friendship. Most importantly we found peace with God through Jesus. We took time for worship next to the lake, Bible study, and also prayer.
I can’t think of a better way for us to have spent Labor Day weekend. It was beautiful. It was peaceful.
