Sure Foundation is partnering with the food consulting firm, Karp Resources, which handles technical support for the NYC Department of Health's Green Cart Iniative, to host several new vendor workshops this January. The purpose of the Green Cart intiative is to place entrepreneurially-run produce carts in underserved communities in order to increase access to healthy foods. The workshop series will serve to educate vendors on how to properly purchase, care for, and display their produce; how to partner with community-based organizations; and how to handle finances and recordkeeping so they can grow their business. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to support a program that strives to improve the health of NYC residents and our Queens neighbors.
